# Services

The services the panel monitors: the web server (Nginx and Apache, each where the installation mode runs it or the host has it installed — accounts can use the Apache proxy mode on an nginx host — or the LiteSpeed server once OpenLiteSpeed or LiteSpeed Enterprise is active), one PHP-FPM row per installed PHP version (none under LiteSpeed, where PHP runs through LSAPI; the default version is described as such), MariaDB, PowerDNS, Postfix, Dovecot, OpenDKIM, Rspamd, Redis (the store Rspamd keeps its data in, where it is installed), WHost Mail Policy, Fail2Ban, Pure-FTPd and the WHost Agent (with a licensed whitelabel switched on, these two carry its company name in place of WHost, on this page and on the dashboard). Units carry the OS family's names: `apache2` and `php8.4-fpm` on Debian / Ubuntu, `httpd` and `php84-php-fpm` on AlmaLinux / Rocky / CentOS Stream. A PHP version the configuration names but the host has no PHP-FPM unit for (PHP 5.6 on AlmaLinux / Rocky / CentOS Stream, which the installer skips) is not listed as Stopped, and Redis is listed (`redis-server` on Debian / Ubuntu, `redis` on the RHEL family). Each row shows the service's description and a status badge (Running / Stopped / Failed); its menu, driven by the service's `can_reload` / `can_stop` flags, offers Start for a stopped service and Restart, Reload (where the service supports it) and Stop for a running one — Restart and Stop ask first — and the Apache row also opens the Apache status page; the WHost Agent row has no actions. There is no last-restart time and no action on a whole group. The summary cards (total / running / stopped) filter the list, which refreshes every 15 seconds while Auto-refresh is on.

The page also surfaces installer-managed services that the agent does not start itself (for example `fail2ban`) — restart for those uses systemd directly.

**Endpoints used:** `GET /system/services`, `POST /system/service/{name}?action=...`.
