# Quick Start

```bash
# 1. Set credentials (any API key created under Settings → API Access).
export WHOST_BASE_URL="https://your-server"
export WHOST_API_KEY="..."
export WHOST_API_SECRET="..."
# 2. Download and run the Bash signer — it computes the v2 HMAC, sets all
#    four required headers and hits GET /api/v1/system/info.
curl -fsSLO https://whost.wisecp.com/developer/examples/hmac-example.sh
bash hmac-example.sh
# Expected: 200 + JSON system info payload.
# If you get 401 AUTH_EXPIRED, check `timedatectl status` for clock drift (300 s tolerance).
```

Want to call a different endpoint? Copy the signer, edit `METHOD`,
`PATH_`, and `BODY` near the top of the script. Or use one of the other
five-language signers below — they all produce byte-identical signatures.

Need a real client? The PHP SDK [`wisecp/whost-php-sdk`](sdk-php.md), a download
from this site, ships HMAC, retry, idempotency and webhook verification out of the box.
For other languages, copy-paste signing snippets are published beside this page:
[PHP](examples/hmac-example.php), [JavaScript](examples/hmac-example.js),
[Go](examples/hmac-example.go), [Ruby](examples/hmac-example.rb) and
[POSIX sh](examples/hmac-example.sh).
