How quotas are measured
- Disk: the size of your home directory
/home/{user}/; databases and mailboxes are stored outside it and are not counted. - Bandwidth: your plan sets a monthly allowance; traffic is not counted per account in this version, so nothing is measured against it and the dashboard shows 0 used.
- Quotas are enforced at creation time: exceeding a quota stops new resources from being created but does not break existing ones. A file-manager upload or save that would take you over your disk quota is refused before anything is written. An upload is written to a temporary file and put in place only when it is complete, so a failed upload leaves no partial file. A save from the editor writes into the file itself: if the server's disk fills up during the save, the file can be left incomplete — the editor copies the previous version to
<file>.bakbefore each save, but that copy needs free space too.
